We recognize that everyone has different goals and aspirations. We also know that sometimes it can be hard to make changes in your life or do day-to-day tasks without a little support. That’s where our NDIS support workers can help.
Our team is passionate about assisting people to live their best life possible. We can provide one-on-one support to help you develop goals and achieve independence. Whether you need assistance with daily living tasks, nutrition, self-care, navigating public transport through to developing your communication and social skills, our support workers can help you in a variety of areas tailored to your individual needs.
If you or your loved one lives with a disability that has limited your ability to live independently, Ability House is well situated to provide you the support you need and achieve your goals.
Whether you have a well-developed skill set and need specific training, or you are broadly dependent on others for a whole host of day-to-day activities, Ability House can help you. We will work with you to assess your needs and come up with a plan that addresses any and all specific areas where we can help you live more independently.
The NDIS provides funding for anything reasonable and necessary in support of independent living as a person living with a disability. This may include everything from morning routines to how to make friends. If you are unsure if your needs are covered under the NDIS’ Life Skills and Development funding, we’ll be happy to walk you through every step and find out exactly what’s included in your personalized NDIS Plan
Developing additional life skills allows you to live more independently and achieve your goals for a fulfilling life. This development is not as simple as buying an assistive device; it takes time, mentoring, motivation, and encouragement to reach your goals. But when you do eventually develop more life skills, you will have a toolset that enables you to face almost any obstacle and move past it.
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) funds reasonable and necessary supports for people living with disabilities and can provide you with funding to avail of Maple’s Life Skills and Development services if this is something that will help you to live a happier, healthier life. Depending on your disability and level of impairment and need, Life Skills and Development can be covered by NDIS.
